Our history

In March 2003, a group of concerned parents of Al-Muntada Islamic Primary School in Fulham, established a steering committee, with the intention of addressing the issue of lack of options for secondary Islamic Schools in the West London area.  After recognising that once their children completed their primary school education there were almost no options for a secondary Islamic School, these parents found a common cause in fulfilling this need.  The project was launched through the dedication of these committee members.

Al Muntada Girls' Secondary School opened its doors for a small group of year 7 girls in September 2004 in the premises of Al Muntada Al Islami.   In September 2005 another class for year 8 was added.  Due to the ever expanding needs of the school, Alhamdullillah the school acquired new premises in a rented building in Hammersmith with the opening of year 9.   Now the school provides education for girls aged between 11 and 16 with an accommodation of up to 50 students including years 10 and 11.
